The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has announced the tourist device that the City of Lorca will launch during Holy Week with the aim of offering the best service to all visitors who will visit Lorca during these days.
"To do this," Montiel said, "we will significantly increase the tourist information points that are enabled or available in strategic places in the city during Holy Week."
In this sense, the Mayor has announced that "to the three points of information available to the city, the Tourism Office of the Plaza de España, the Visitor Center in the former Convent of La Merced and Castillo de Lorca, several counters are added. In places where the tourist influx is massive during these days, as it is in the brotherhoods of Paso Blanco and Paso Azul, as well as in an emblematic place such as the Palacio de Guevara, these three information points will be operational from next Friday 23rd. March, coinciding with the start of Easter Week Lorca, until next March 31, Saturday of Gloria.
Similarly, the Councilor for Tourism has detailed that "with the aim of strengthening this tourist device during the two main days of Holy Week, Holy Thursday and Good Friday, will be installed two additional information points. In Santa Clara Avenue, a new information point will be installed in the Oval of Santa Paula in 2018. It is in this space where the great allegorical floats of Paso Blanco and Paso Azul await their departure in the procession of Good Friday and There are many Lorca and visitors who come to this place during the big days of Holy Week, so it is a necessary service that will be very well received by tourists, adding up to 8 information points.
Montiel has made a balance highlighting that "in total there will be 361 hours of extraordinary attention in these external information points put into operation by the City of Lorca, 10% more than in 2017. In fact, during peak hours on Holy Thursday and Friday Santo will be 25 people who are providing all tourist information and Holy Week to visitors.In the same way, and to complete the operation, the Municipal Tourism Office also increases tourist hours, extending the hours of attention to the 20 hours every day and opening uninterrupted Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

Montiel has presented the booklet The Courtship in its edition of 2018, a complete publication that offers the visitor all the necessary information to understand the processions, especially the Good Friday, including a detailed explanation of each group on stage.
The publication follows the style of these last years, including an introduction so that the visitor can know the origin, the historical context in which this new and peculiar processional model arises, as well as the main ingredients that compose it as it is the different passion , the horses, the traditional processions and the Lorca embroidery.
The cortege will be divided from Wednesday 28 at the Tourism Office and extraordinary points of tourist information, having been published 5,000 units in Spanish thanks to the collaboration of CECLOR, Chamber of Commerce and Mall Parque Almenara.
In the same way, 1,000 units have been published in English so that foreign visitors can also know the motivation of each biblical or religious group that parades through the race.
Montiel concluded by emphasizing that "Lorca is prepared at a tourist level so that all visitors can understand and enjoy our different passion, both in the procession and in the rest of activities, through a complete operation in the points of greatest interest and greater accumulation of visitors.
