The Socialists denounce that while the Autonomous Community still does not pay the pending aid for both reconstruction and rent, takes funds from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the reconstruction of Lorca to finance works in other municipalities.
The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro Perez has once again highlighted the lies that from the Autonomous Community and through the Development Counselor, Pedro Rivera, are still pouring in account of the aid pending receipt of affected by the 2011 earthquakes.
The socialist mayor recalls that a few days ago informed that the Counselor, in response to the question presented at the Regional Assembly by Socialist Deputy Isabel María Casalduero, recognized in writing that they continue to owe to those affected by the 2011 earthquakes over 12 million euros , specifically more than 7 million for reconstruction (€ 7,056,792.71), almost 4.5 million for rentals (€ 4,493,614.88) and the rest for repair and equipment.
Navarro emphasizes that the Councilor before the question made by the Socialist deputy was faced with a complicated situation, since "the numbers are what they are and it is not possible to modify them or make them up, since they would be committing a crime of documentary falsification", and lied , says the socialist mayor, arguing that the delays in rental subsidies are due to a change in bureaucratic procedures, "a totally false argument since the regulation of aid is done exclusively through the DR. 2011 and RD 17/2011, and the form of payment for these grants is regulated by Royal Decree 11/2012, and only another Royal Decree, which does not exist, can modify the time, manner and manner of receiving these aids, "he states.
In addition the socialist mayor says that in terms of aid for reconstruction, Mr. Counselor "returned to lie", by wielding that those affected have not submitted the corresponding certificates of work and therefore no payments have been made.
In this sense, Navarro has put on the table an example on one of the many dossiers in the same circumstances, 12,578 / 2011, that despite having submitted the certification to 100%, the corresponding final certificate of work more than six months ago and having all the documentation presented in time and form still does not receive the corresponding aid.
Navarro says "not understanding what the CARM is playing and not obeying the Counselor's statements" since the only thing it is achieving is to lengthen the agony of those affected and increase the costs, both of the CARM and those affected, by the delays in the payment of aid.

The Socialist Councilman has shown his astonishment to see how again the Ministry of Development returns to get more than 400,000 euros from the aid fund for the reconstruction of Lorca, which granted the European Investment Bank to pay for the construction of a roundabout in Puerto Lumbreras .
Specifically, says Navarro, 420,760.22 euros that "must be, yes or yes, to invest in Lorca and, yes or yes for the reconstruction of the city of Lorca after the earthquakes of 2011," recalling that the loan EIB (European Bank of Investments) was granted to the CARM exclusively for the reconstruction of Lorca, so "not only do they not pay what they owe, but they take the money to where it corresponds", he assures.
In this regard, the socialist mayor has demanded that this work that is in the bidding phase be immediately paralyzed and look for other financing that, of course, is not a loan granted for the recovery of Lorca by the fateful earthquakes.
