The Local Development Councilor of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez Navarro, announced that unemployment has fallen in the last month in 132 people, from 5,202 people to 5,070, offering a positive balance with respect to a year ago since there are 478 unemployed less.
Martínez Navarro pointed out that "this is a substantial reduction that is driven, mainly, by the services sector thanks to the celebration of Holy Week, having reduced unemployment in this sector in 74. But you can not limit the analysis only to this sector, since it has also been reduced in agriculture (16 people), industry (6 people), construction (15 people) and in the sector without activity (21 people), having thus reduced unemployment in all sectors that form part of the sampling statistics ".
Thus, the mayor has stressed that "is the best March since 2008. With respect to a year ago, unemployment has been reduced by 478. If we extend the period until 2014 we see that the reduction is estimated at 2,439 people. Forecasts of other years lead us to be optimistic, because with the arrival of spring is facing a time of much movement in Lorca during which recruitment is encouraged.
Martínez Navarro added that "even if the data is positive, we do not have to launch the bells on the fly." Our commitment is to continue working to improve the training of those who suffer unemployment to be more competitive when it comes to accessing a job, at the same time that we develop other lines of political action so that unemployment in Lorca is increasingly lower.
