The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has once again shown his concern for the slowness and paralysis suffered by several strategic projects for the city, such as the Central Round, the passage at a different level in the San Roundabout Antonio or the evacuation road in the upper neighborhoods, among others.
He announces that the Regional Government will be obliged to rule on these delays and to put a date to the completion of these projects, through a parliamentary initiative of Deputy Isabel Casalduero, in the Regional Assembly.
Mateos warns that, while Europe does not grant the extension, the financing of these projects is "at risk", and ensures that Lorca can not afford to miss the opportunity to execute these vital projects for the strategic development of the city.
The value of the strategic projects paralyzed by the incompetence of the Autonomous Community and by the lack of demand of the Mayor and the City of Lorca, exceeds 26 million euros.
Mateos ensures not wanting to think that the Popular Party's plans are to delay the execution of these projects in time to be able to inaugurate them months before the next municipal elections, in May 2019. He assures that it would "punish" even more the Lorca with works and projects that are delayed in time in an "inexplicable" way.
In the case of the Central Evacuation Round, which Mateos insists "should have been completed long before initiating projects such as Avenida Juan Carlos or Alameda de Cervantes," it is "alarming."
Section I, amounting to 6.6 million euros, has been paralyzed since last summer.
After a long process of more than 15 months, the works were halted a month after the start, due to the modification of the layout that will affect the passage of the AVE.
Section II, valued at 5.6 million euros, is still not awarded after two years of processing the file, and section III, which affects the Torta bridge and budgeted at 7.7 million, has not been started. not even the processing of the file.
The double-level crossing in San Antonio, valued at 3.35 million euros and claimed by the PSOE to alleviate the chaos of daily traffic "is undated", as is the road to evacuation of the upper neighborhoods.
This project, which amounts to 3.3 million euros, has been paralyzed since last February, due to a municipal error in terms of expropriations for its passage.
For all this, Mateos has again asked Gil Jódar to act as mayor and increase their level of demand with their party colleagues in Murcia, to unlock these works that for Mateos are "key strategic axes for the territorial development of the city" .
