The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, and the president of the Association of Housewives Consumers and Users of Lorca, Carmina Reverte, have reported the convening of the XVIII Regional Literary Contest and III national character promoted by this collective from the hand of the Consistory.
Llamas explained that "all people from anywhere in the country can submit their works to the competition, provided they do so in Spanish." For this, the deadline for submitting the works will open today, April 6, and conclude on March 8. May The participants must send their work in triplicate to the Department of Culture of the City of Lorca, warning that they are presented to this contest.In this edition will be awarded a first prize of 900 euros with a diploma and a second of 500 with a diploma for each one of these two modalities for which the contest, narration and poetry is summoned ".
The extension of the works of narration can not be less than 3 pages or more than 8, typed in double-spaced and single-sided.
On the other hand, the works of poetry will have an extension of twenty-eight verses at least and sixty at most, which may be part of a poem or several, being also presented by machine, double-spaced and single-sided.
The submitted works will go without signature, with a slogan or pseudonym.
In an enclosed envelope, which will be enclosed and which will include the title and the slogan or pseudonym of the work, a sheet with the slogan and name of the work will be included, as well as the name, address and telephone number of the author and photocopy of the DNI.
The authors can participate in both modalities if they wish, with one work or with a maximum of two in each one.

The decision of the jury will be unappealable and will be announced on May 25, the last day of the Association's Annual Cultural Week, in an event that will take place at the Teatro Guerra de Lorca starting at 7:00 pm, which must be attended the winners obligatorily to read his work.
The winning works will remain the property of the association, so they can not be used by the authors except with the permission of the association.
However, non-awarded works will be destroyed, so they can not be removed by their authors.
