The course of "Introduction to Archeology and Archaeological Sites of Lorca" will take students through archaeological sites of value within the municipality, while "Design of commercial spaces" will reveal new design perspectives oriented to economic activity
The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, has announced the holding of several courses of special interest within the programming of the Cultural Resources Center, through the Popular University, for this quarter.
El Edil stressed that "the courses that we will start during the months of April and May have as a common feature their intensive nature, since they are developed in a few dates with the aim of facilitating the student's learning. world of cinema, because they represent another step after the launching of the course "Introduction to the World of Cinema and Interpretation", which was the first meeting of the Workshop of Introduction to the world of cinema and interpretation and that counts as a teacher with the scriptwriter, director and writer Benito Rabal.
The first course of this block that is launched is the "Introduction to Archeology and Archaeological Sites of Lorca" to be held between April 9 and May 28 every Monday from 19 to 22 hours.
This course has the particularity that it is not only taught at the Popular University, but also includes field sessions in different archaeological sites of interest in the municipality with the aim that students can put into practice the knowledge acquired through the experience that supposes to visit deposits of the hand of expert archaeologists.
The registration has a cost of 42'20 euros.
Another course of special interest is the "Design of Commercial Spaces", which will be held between April 11 and 26 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The price of registration in this course, which will be taught at the School of Visual and Performing Arts, is 52'50 euros.
As for the courses oriented to the world of celluloid, two cycles will be launched within the Workshop Introduction to the world of film and interpretation that began last fall.
The first to be held will be "Interpretation before the camera" that will take place intensively on Friday, April 13 from 6 pm to 10 pm and Saturday, July 14 from 10 am to 2 pm;
registration costs 25 euros.
On the 4th, 5th and 6th of May the "Filming (Making a Short)" course will take place, which will allow putting into practice all the knowledge acquired during the different courses held.
The registration fee for this course is 40 euros.
Both will be taught by Benito Rabal, son of the actors Paco Rabal and Asunción Balaguer, and who has been assistant director and director of the second unit with directors such as Mario Camus, José Luis Garci, Pedro Olea, Imanol Uribe and William Friedkin, of directing the films Galdós and Fortunata y Jacinta (1985), The bastard brother of God (1986), Paco, my father (1992) and El vangón (2003).
