The PSOE regrets that the Mayor and his councilors in the City of Lorca are more concerned to continue covering up their peers of the Popular Party of the Autonomous Community than to demand payment of their obligations.
In the last three months, the Autonomous Community has paid 0 euros, the first time it does not pay anything in a quarterly period.
The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has taken stock of the last meeting of the table of solidarity with those affected by earthquakes, which showed the increase in debt that the Regional Government of Lorca Lopez Miras maintains, almost seven years later, and that reaches 711,920.79 euros.
With respect to the previous quarter, the debt increased by almost 37,000 euros.
Navarro regrets that during this meeting, which must account for the last three months of management of the solidarity table, the Popular Party "as usual" did more to "justify the unjustifiable", in relation to the delay and some accounts that, according to the mayor, "are devastating."
Navarro denounces that 711,920.79 € is already the amount that the solidarity table has had to pay to those affected by the earthquakes "because the Autonomous Community does not face its obligations".
According to the mayor, so that the Bureau of Solidarity has been able to maintain its activity and, with it, the local PP has been able to continue concealing the Autonomous Community, the City of Lorca has had to enter from the municipal accounts to this table "€ 600,000 a throughout all this time. "
In the last three months, the Autonomous Community has paid € 0, the first time it does not pay anything in a quarterly period.
Navarro has denounced the "improbable" reasons that Partido Popular Lorca gave to justify this lack of payment, and is that, according to the government team, "are pending to sign an" agreement "between the Autonomous Community and the Central Government, which are the that are paralyzing the arrival of these aids ".
Said "agreement", points Navarro, ended in July 2017, so "or have not had time to renew it in nine months, or it is not true that this is the reason for the delay in payment."
During the meeting, Navarro also demanded the payment of the rent subsidies still pending.
For this, he urged to send to the Autonomous Community and the Central Government, a letter demanding that Royal Decree 6/2011 be applied "to its ultimate consequences" so that rent subsidies can be tacitly renewed until the displaced can return to their homes. households.
