The collaboration of the regional development agency in other national programs allows for another 24.9 million euros for 24 projects
The Community, through the Institute of Development (Info), invested a total of 4.3 million euros in the last three years in Lorca through different aid programs that allowed the development and consolidation of up to 63 business projects.
These grants and subsidies mobilized a business investment of 23.1 million euros, which means that each euro invested by the Info in the locality is multiplied by five, and contributed to the creation of 137 new jobs and the maintenance of others 1,170 jobs.
This was highlighted today by the director of Info, Joaquín Gómez, during a working meeting with the mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, which took stock of the actions of the regional development agency in the municipality in recent years and detailed the subsidies managed during this period of time.
"Entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs play a fundamental role in economic development and job creation and their activity has a direct and immediate first impact on their immediate environment and the quality of life of citizens," he said.
"Our goal is to put at your disposal all those resources, tools and aids that allow us to promote and consolidate this local development through the creation of new companies, the training of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs or the development of an innovative environment that acts in turn as an element of attraction of new investments, "said Joaquín Gómez.
In the case of Lorca, a total of 25 of the 63 projects promoted through the Info fall within the scope of business innovation, with a subsidy of 385,000 euros that in turn generated a business investment of 1.08 million euros which helped create or maintain 506 jobs directly.
The Info aids also allowed the development of another 25 internationalization projects, with 257 jobs created or maintained and another 12 in the area of ​​financing, with grants worth 641,000 euros, an investment of 1.3 million euros and the creation and maintenance of 194 jobs.
In this area, the financing area, highlights in turn the four projects approved in recent months within the program of Productive and Technological Investments, a line of aid designed to improve the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises and that, with a subsidy of 352,000 euros, mobilized an investment of 1.08 million euros and consolidated almost a hundred jobs.
If we look at its classification by sector, a total of 29 projects are part of the industrial sector, with aid amounting to 4 million euros, which was multiplied by 5.5 to mobilize a business investment of 22.1 million euros and which contributed to the creation or maintenance of work positions.
Within the services sector, in turn, a total of 32 aid files worth 356,614 euros were approved and generated an investment of 847,236 euros and created or maintained 534 jobs.
Lorca, Entrepreneur Municipality
The collaboration of Info with other entities and organizations also allowed a total of 24 business projects to participate in national aid programs, such as the R & D support program of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), which is dependent on the Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness or the Reindustrialization and Promotion of Industrial Competitiveness, dependent on the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda.
Lorca, also, is part of the thirty towns integrated within the agreement Entrepreneur Municipality, a pioneering tool coordinated by the Info by which the regional government won the award 'European Entrepreneurial Region' of the European Commission in 2011. Through This initiative is made available to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs over 40 measures articulated around seven strategic axes to promote the entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurship, stimulate talent, creativity and innovation, promote training and education, or stimulate the start and consolidation of entrepreneurial projects.
