The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, along with Manuel Fernández-Delgado, General Director of the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia, and Jesus Abellaneda, President of Hostelor, have presented the Sun Fair "April tapas 1,000" in which they will participate 23 catering establishments.

Organized by Hostelor, the Feria del Sol seeks to become an incentive to boost daily entertainment from April 14 to 22.

The 23 participating establishments will offer an elaborated tapa plus a cane or fifth of Estrella Levante for 2.50 euros.

All the participating tapas will compete in a contest and include in its elaboration typical products of the Region of Murcia, thus promoting the regional gastronomy within the framework "1.001 flavors Region of Murcia".

All of them will indicate their collaboration through the promotional poster of the Feria del Sol.

Within the program, the Mercado del Sol will host the "Aires del Sur" parade, which will be held on Sunday, April 22nd.

In addition, on Saturdays and Sundays there will be up to 14 evening concerts with flamenco sounds and rumbas to encourage people to enjoy the Feria del Sol in the squares.

Specifically on Saturday 14 will be Son de la Tribu in Lorca Plaza from 4 pm and More than Flamenco in Calderón at the same time.

At 5:00 p.m.

They will sing The Gipsy Payos on the Run.

On Sunday, April 15 at 3:00 pm, Son de la Tribu will perform at the Plaza del Pueblo Saharaui;

at 4:00 pm we will have Aires de Veleta at Lorca Plaza and Tributo Pata Negra at Calderón, while Más que Flamenco will perform at La Corredera at 5:00 pm.

On Saturday, April 21, they will take the stage at 4:00 pm, Más que Flamenco, in Lorca Plaza, and Aires de Veleta, in Calderón.

At 17 hours will be the performance of Son de la Tribu.

Finally, on Sunday, April 22, Aires de Veleta will perform at the Plaza del Pueblo Saharaui at 3:00 pm;

Private Property will act at 16:00 in Lorca Plaza and Son de Tribu will do it at the same time in Calderón;

Finally, the Pata Negra Tribute will close the proceedings at 5:00 pm on the Corredera.

In the organization of the Fair of the Sun collaborate the City council of Lorca, with the implication of the Councils of Emergencies, Citizen Security, Commerce and Celebrations, "1.001 flavors Region of Murcia", CECLOR, Chamber of Commerce, Estrella de Levante, Jisap, Costa Cálida Region of Murcia and Lorca Lo Bordamos, among others.

The Mayor wanted to "encourage Lorca and visitors to take to the streets and enjoy the good weather, good food and the best atmosphere with this Fair of the Sun that will allow us to enjoy the spring from enclaves of exception such as the squares of Lorca ".
