The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, announced that next Friday, April 13, the Municipal Library of Lorca celebrate a new edition of Encounters with Author, which aims to encourage reading among young students of the municipality.
The City Councilor pointed out that "200 1st and 2nd year primary school students from the Sacred Heart, Perez de Hita, Villaespesa and Ana Caicedo Richard schools will have the opportunity to meet first hand the writer Paloma Muiña, who will participate for the first time in this initiative presenting his latest book The Red Umbrella, the session, which is being held in collaboration with the SM publishing house, will take place at the Children's and Youth Library located in the Cultural Center.
Paloma Muiña was born in Madrid in 1970, where she studied Advertising at the CENP and later Journalism at the Complutense University, as well as a master's degree in promotion of reading and children's literature at the University of Castilla-La Macha.
She is currently editor of children's and young people's literature.
She is the author of children's books such as Infinite Chocolate, Rain or Detectives in flip flops.
