The Government delegate, Francisco Bernabé, has confirmed this morning in Lorca the start of construction of the new Palace of Justice of the city, whose act of laying the first stone will take place on Friday April 27 and will attend , as reported in an appearance before the media, the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, and the Secretary of State for Justice, Carmen Sánchez-Cortés Martín.
"It is a beautiful news for Lorca, so long awaited, so many years fought and fought and that finally will be a reality, with an investment of eight million euros that will also help to revitalize that area of ​​the old town where the building will be located", Bernabé said.
The delegate of the Government highlighted the qualitative leap that this infrastructure will represent for the work of the professionals of Justice, which can also be extrapolated to the improvement that will result in the attention to the citizen.
"We must remember that, with the finished work, 25% of its useful capacity is reserved, more than 2,500 square meters, for future enlargements of new judicial bodies that will be incorporated in the future," Bernabé concluded.
