The Lorca José Ángel Ponce was elected on Saturday, April 21, new President of the Regional Committee of Socialist Youth of the Region of Murcia.
During the celebration of this forum, Tamara Soto García, also from Lorca, was named Secretary of Justice and Public Liberties, in an Executive Commission that will continue to be led by the current Secretary General, José Antonio Campos.
Ponce, current Secretary General of Socialist Youth of Lorca, will chair the highest body that conveys the organization between Congresses, made up of representatives of the different Municipal Groups, and in charge, among others, of evaluating the management of the Executive Committee.
Ponce assures that this new journey "supposes a great experience, with an enormous responsibility", and appreciates the confidence deposited by the whole of the organization, and for the recognition of all these years of work.
Debate and work "on the street" and "from the hand of the associative fabric" to continue occupying the spaces in which "the youth of the Region awaits us", leading the political agenda with clear ideas in defense of the recovery of rights labor, feminism or equal opportunities, and to continue to "get wet" in those issues in which "we are ahead of our party, as is necessary and we always like to do".
The young Socialist has been convinced that the Popular Party has "the hours counted" in the Region, as in Lorca, as happened in 2015 in more than half of the municipalities, which already governs the PSOE.
Ensures that socialists, and especially young people, are the protagonists of that change, he says, will be completed in 2019.
