Almost 1,500 stories have participated in the XXXIII Children's Story Contest "Premio María Fernández-Luna", whose winners have collected their respective distinctions this morning at the Cultural Center.
The Vice Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has described as "especially stimulating" among the youngest the annual call for children's awards for stories "María Fernández-Luna", which is helping to awaken interest in reading and writing precisely between the youngest
Encouraging the habit of reading and written composition at younger and younger ages is a great value for the education of the next generations of Lorca.
From the City Council we are aware of how these contests stimulate the creativity of our students, so we will continue to bet on this same sense.
This event, in particular, has managed to gather almost 1,500 stories made by students who are currently studying Infant and Primary Education.
The statements of the Vice Mayor and Councilor for Education, have taken place on the occasion of the act of delivery of the XXXIII edition of this children's story contest, which has been developed in the Cultural Center of the City.
