In the last school week the Department of English of our IES has organized a side event on the occasion of the celebration of the Anglo-Saxon Halloween party.
Specifically, students suggested that the first cycle of ESO carve the faces of terror are so typical of pumpkins.
The result of this work (almost all in group) was exposed in one of the central input.
However, as we indicate the coordinators of the activity, M ª Carmen Salas and Maria Diaz, "... at a center for some time assumed the need for high quality teaching, with lines of Bilingual Education and Bachelor of research, this conclusion not only should be a fun party but as a learning tool .... ".
Indeed the activity of "cutting pumpkins" was used, by reading and writing of English texts "to deepen the knowledge of the language.
Congratulations to the participants, as well as the greatest of thanks to all the teachers who have volunteered to assist in classes taught in English.
We hope this activity has produced some interest in the cultural roots of the holiday of Halloween among students.
