The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the Director General of Youth, Veronica Lopez, the Director General of Universities of the Autonomous Community, Eduardo Osuna, the Vice-Chancellor of Coordination and Communication, M ª Ángeles Esteban and the Commissioner of Regional Government in the Campus Lorca, Juan Ramón Medina Precioso, inaugurated this morning accompanied by Councilman Young, Joaquin Ruiz, the new item Youth Development Activities Information and Dynamism of the facilities of the University Campus in Lorca.

The new facility will host the services of an information point EURODEK European Programme Youth in Action, for programs such as "Leonardo", European voluntary and mobility grants.

The new item Youth wing includes a free Internet access with 15 computer stations in the afternoon, will offer free courses Regional Employment Service and Training and other courses organized by the Youth Council.

The mayor has emphasized that "these new spaces are intended to open a new line of work for young people, especially university students, promoting these new units and bringing society lorquina the Campus project, as this new space will serve all youth municipality.

This new service is the result of site management agreement with the university campus, which makes the council improve its facilities and services.

Furthermore, following austerity plan of this City, is no longer necessary to pay the rent for the former office of youth and diversity in the neighborhood of San Cristobal with a saving of 20,000 per year.

In the same vein, all furniture and equipment used for these facilities the council has been reused from older sites.

For its part, the university also has given a meeting room where it will undergo training and is available to groups and clusters.

On the other hand, the council is developing, with the Consortium of the University and the academic coordinator at the University of Murcia, several project activities for this course.

These include, support for the creation of academic groups, cultural and sports as well as developing a plan of activities that complement the academic training of students and knowledge of other youth in these facilities, providing a value added.
