The reform of the pond in the hamlet lorquina Doña Inés and its environment has improved the collection of rainwater for irrigation, in addition to offering residents a new area for walking and recreation.
The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, today opened the action, which involved an investment of 114,092 euros, of which the Autonomous Community has provided 100,245 euros through the agreement signed with the Consistory for improvements in hamlets and suburbs.
Reforms in the pond can improve the collection of rainwater to be reused as irrigation water.
Also the surrounding area has adapted to the construction of a wall, sidewalks and the placement of a scupper.

This action is in addition to others that have run in this hamlet by previous agreements between the Community and the city of Lorca, as the termination of Doña Inés park in 2007, with an investment of 30,000 euros, and pavement strengthening Don Gonzalo Road in 2009, which was allocated 80,000 euros.
