The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, said during his visit to Lorca that the regional government has allocated EUR 6,706,234 for the construction of Health Centre Sutullena Lorca and the Primary Care Clinic of the deputation of Marchena.
Thus, said the minister, "the regional government is still committed to bring health to all citizens of the region."
The Ministry of Health has invested in the new Health Centre Sutullena Lorca 6,539,194 euros.
Work on the center began in late 2010 and when the infrastructure is completed will serve more than 15,000 people, though, as the minister said, "was built thinking of the future and the needs arising from population growth in this area."
The Health Center Sutullena Lorca, located on Calle Joaquin Garcia Leon, will serve the residents of the Santa Quiteria, Virgen de las Huertas, Private Island and Sutullena-Alameda, as well as those of the councils of Cazalla , Inch, watering places, Carrasquilla and Puri.
This new infrastructure is "necessary" because the residents of these neighborhoods lack own health center and currently have to travel to the Basic Health Zone of Lorca and Lorca-San Jose Center for healthcare
Palacios said to be a center "modern", which will have an area of ​​Radiology, made by Sala-ray and ultrasound, and another for professionals in the Emergency Service of the Region of Murcia.

The Minister of Health and the Mayor of Lorca, after laying the first stone of the Health Center Sutullena Lorca, launched the Primary Care Clinic of the deputation Lorca de Marchena.
Palacios said, "This new office will replace the current center, and it was impossible to reform, and will serve 1,624 residents of Marchena.
The Ministry allocated 167,040 euros for the Primary Care Clinic Marchena, which has an area of ​​209 square meters and 163.62 meters square usable space comprising a ground floor.
