In the afternoon of Friday April 8, played the ninth edition of the Chess Tournament Intercentros CEIP San José, organized by the school itself and the Chess Club Lorca.
The race went almost 80 chess players from both schools and institutes Lorca so you can see the importance of this championship was in our city.
The overall winner of the tournament was Marcos García Martínez Ibáñez Martín IES with a total of 6 points in 6 games.
The second position was obtained by Carlos Muñoz Galdos with 5.5 points and third place went to Francisco José Llamas Guevara with 5 points.
A very prominent in this tournament was that nearly 20 students in the Workshops colleges Chess Uptown Classroom Lorca to the scheme, funded by the city of Lorca and the ERDF, participated with very good results after two months of classes through the work of the monitors of the Municipal School of Chess (EMA).
The development of the championship was perfect and both participants and family enjoyed throughout the evening in a friendly atmosphere.
There was a snack for all chess players and the awards ceremony gave the smaller ones with a medal.
