Work is progressing recovery of Lorca's Heritage (14/05/2011)

The regional government has established a Technical Committee chaired by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, and comprises more than a hundred technical heritage of the Directorate General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, the Restoration Center Community Autonomous Region and the Municipality of Lorca as well as architects, archaeologists, engineers and historians.

Historic buildings in which it is acting are the eleven historic churches Lorca, which are closed to the public and in which four teams of architects work coordinated by the Directorate General of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Palace Guevara, whose property is being taken to avoid damaging them, and the Archaeological Museum, which is waging an assurance of damaged parts.

The other buildings of cultural interest declared are in good condition.

These buildings are the Palace Garden BIC Ruano, Theater War and the building of the Irrigation Community Lorca.
