The Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister, Elena Salgado, together with the government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, this morning visited the town of Lorca and has held a working meeting with the social and economic city.
In this meeting participated the Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Union of traders, the Confederation of Employers, Hostelor, the Federation of Employers of the Construction, UGT, CCOO and mayoral candidate, Manuel Soler.
After the meeting Salgado has said that although the Consortium of Insurance has given an estimated figure, it can be extended since there is no limitation.
It also will increase the number of technicians Insurance Consortium to expedite the process so that aid gets through as quickly as possible to those affected, and even consider opening an office in the city.
In the same way the minister also assured that it will expedite the ICO, which provide an initial line of 25 million euros with a moratorium of one year and a very low interest rates, but if necessary, will expand that number.
On the other hand is committed to talk directly with financial institutions asking them to take special consideration to everything that concerns the citizens and businesses of Lorca.
He also has said he will create a joint commission formed by the various authorities to advise and arrange everything covered by Royal Decree.
Before this meeting the Finance Minister has visited some of the neighborhoods affected by the earthquake, where neighbors encouraged them, telling them that the Government of Spain, and the material means and arranged to meet the people, has arranged a series of aid to arrive shortly.
