A Joint Commission will follow up and implementation of the agreement
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, has signed this morning with President of the Region of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, a collaboration agreement for the management of aid approved by the Government urgently to repair the damage caused by earthquakes Lorca May 11.
This agreement aims to establish criteria and procedures for granting and the payment and control mechanisms for the aid provided for in Decree Law adopted on 13 May.
One of the measures, set up by Decree Law 6,671 euros per year for grants for rent when the residence has been totally destroyed or due to poor condition, has been required for its demolition.
Also, in the event that the repair of housing demand their eviction, rents will also be financed, whether they own or whether they are tenants.
Aids are also collected in the case of destruction or damage to equipment essentials with an amount of up to 2,580 euros for replacement.
The Interior Ministry and the Autonomous Community of Murcia funded at 50% the cost of the aid.
The agreement also establishes the need for unified management of budgetary resources.
Therefore, the amount of aid will be transferred to the City of Lorca for payment to beneficiaries.
The Convention establishes a system maximum of 24 months rent for the reconstruction of housing destroyed completely, or 12 months rent in case of damages, renewable term, in both cases, in exceptional circumstances, when permitted the Joint Commission.
Under this agreement will create a joint commission that will oversee and implement the agreement.
In addition, work carried out coordination and monitoring of activities under the Convention and solve the problems of interpretation and enforcement that may arise.
From the outset, the three administrations have been carried out in a coordinated manner all necessary emergency actions to mitigate the immediate consequences of earthquakes, as well as the work of damage assessment and family situation of those affected.
All this for a speedy repair damage and promote a return to normalcy in the shortest possible time.
