HM the Queen will preside this evening the ceremony of the Cross of the Civil Order of Social Solidarity, which will also be present, among other authorities, the Minister of Health, Social Policy and Equality, Leire Pajin, and the delegate Government in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar.
These awards reward individuals and groups who have distinguished themselves by working in solidarity activities and this year have been awarded the Silver Cross of that order, in exceptional cases to the various agencies and institutions that engaged the effects of earthquakes of Lorca, in recognition of his hard work, commitment and professionalism: the Military Emergency Unit (UME), the Civil Protection Service of the Government Delegation in Murcia, the emergency facility of the Ministry of Justice and Citizen Security in the Region of Murcia, Lorca Local Police, the Red Cross in the Region of Murcia, Murcia Health Service, the National Police in the Region of Murcia, the Guardia Civil in the Region of Murcia and Fire in the Region of Murcia.
With respect to the granting of such Cruces, Gonzáez Tovar said: "I think it will be difficult to find groups that have given so many demonstrations of solidarity such as that from the outset worked to mitigate the effects of earthquakes and attention Lorca those affected by earthquakes. "
The Government delegate added that "this has been recognized by the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality" by granting these Cruces "that distinguish individuals and groups who have distinguished themselves by working in solidarity activities."

Golden Grand Cross of the Civil Order of Social Solidarity: Gervasio Sánchez, a journalist and photographer, as recognition of its social advocacy and public awareness about the suffering of civilians, especially children, in armed conflict.
