IU spokesman in Congress, Gaspar Llamazares, now considered "inadequate" compensation, including the decree on urgent measures to mitigate the effects of earthquakes of Lorca and called its passage as a bill to improve certain aspects.
Among them, Llamazares has advocated increasing aid for cases of death and permanent total disability or the approval of compensation for local industries and business, as they are not included on lines of credit opened by the Official Credit Institute (ICO).
IU leader has asked the Government to impose a moratorium on mortgages in cases of destruction or irreversible damage to housing and the creation of a guarantee fund for "emergency funding" so that "nobody is left without the money needed to rebuild their homes. "
It has also requested the State to reserve the right to make "public action" against those who "have been involved in the construction of buildings which now has been shown to have violated construction defects or standard buildable."
The damage caused to the assets of the city, stressed the need to establish a joint committee of the various authorities to address the scope and funding of restoration of the same, since the decree "no aid specific about it."
Llamazares has also demanded the revision of building codes to ensure the seismic resistance and updating the seismic hazard map natural hazard, and the strengthening of the technical inspection of construction and development of protocols for disaster information.
