The Lorca Relief Committee met this morning with representatives of the Municipality of Lorca to publicize the objectives of increasing created Committee and know what the needs of those affected by the earthquake on 11 May.

The Committee has moved to the city of Lorca its vocation to render aid indefinitely, and as required, to the municipality.
The objective is to coordinate the efforts of organizations that have provided and are providing assistance to the municipality as well as other organizations still willing to lend their collaboration, consider a coordinated work of social movements, citizen and volunteer, can make an great consistency and coherence to the work that occurs during a time may be months, both in the restoration of property as in covering the basic needs of those affected.
Its constitution was held on 25 May, following an inaugural meeting sponsored by the Volunteers Platform Murcia and which was attended by a large number of representatives of social organizations and institutions in the Region of Murcia.
