García-Legaz Rubalcaba asked about the increase of crime in Lorca (06/06/2011)

National Deputy People's Party for Murcia Jaime García-Legaz Rubalcaba has asked about increasing crime in Lorca after the earthquakes that have occurred in the municipality.

García-Legaz noted that following the departure of 85 percent of the staff of the Military Emergency Unit (UME) of Lorca, has detected the presence of organized groups that engage in looting the area affected by the earthquake, to the point that the neighbors have been forced to put means to prevent theft.

"These gangs are acting with impunity quite what we want is that the executive, through the Government Delegation in Murcia, act immediately and increase the number of police to ensure public safety in Lorca , "said García-Legaz.

Thus, noted that "the city of Lorca has been unprotected after the withdrawal of much of the strength of the EMU, so from the People's Party demanded that the Government increase the number of police officers in particular specialized in the pursuit of an organized criminal gangs. "

To this end, PP deputy has filed a battery of questions to the Government in asking for the police means that the Government intended to combat organized crime and whether it has provided specialized personnel.

In addition, García-Legaz had requested information on the amount to which the amounts subtracted and the number of criminal offenses that have occurred in the town of Lorca since the earthquake.

Legaz Jaime Garcia concluded that the "Lorca need to strengthen the public safety especially in these difficult days and so we will continue to demand the Government of the Nation."
