Valencia, June 7, 2011 - The Association of residency of the Valencia Community solidarity, Lares CV, and the Diocesan Commission for Pastoral Care of the Elderly of the Archbishop of Valencia will donate the funds collected tomorrow, Wednesday, to mark the second meeting of Elders in Valencia with the Mare de Deu, residence San Diego de Lares Murcia.
These funds will help rebuild the center, which was totally incapacitated after the earthquake of May 11.
In addition to this collaboration, Lares CV has joined the campaign by Federation Lares, "Lares Lares. It helps to rebuild the home of San Diego" for which they have opened a bank account for collecting donations from employees of the residences partners, volunteers, and any person who wishes to contribute.
The Association of Solidarity of the VC sector also allocate a portion of its budget to give greater support to the reconstruction of the center of Murcia.
"Our goal is to get the most money possible to help this sister residence to rehabilitate and reopen to continue to provide care for the elderly," said CV President Lares, José Pascual Bueno.
The San Diego Lorca's residence was the most damaged of the locality by the earthquake that struck the town of Murcia.

The only casualty was an elderly man who had gone, as was usual, and who was killed after fall on part of a building when he went down the street.

And already is looking for an alternative site in Lorca to welcome back until the residence is renovated.

Murcia Lares will also support other regional associations and with the assistance of Lares Federation, where they are already working to expedite state aid.
