The Governing Council has approved the holding of three cooperation agreements for the establishment of three technical committees constituted by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, the city of Lorca and three professional bodies for the establishment of criteria for selecting collaborators and for the management and control of the work done for the rehabilitation of buildings and houses damaged by earthquakes in Lorca.
The agreements, which will be signed with the public schools of Civil Engineers, Canales y Puertos, Architects, and Surveyors, Architects and Engineers Technical Building, designed to ensure quality control of rehabilitation works projects and to encourage of rebates or exemptions in the license fees of these works, as well as the visa of projects carried out by these professional bodies, minimizing the cost of action for those affected.
Also, these agreements aim to help owners and neighborhoods all information about qualified experts to prepare reports or projects, and assist in their realization and the expert appraisal.
The agreements also establish institutional cooperation in a working group study revealed flaws and defects in buildings due to earthquakes recorded in Lorca on 11 May.
