The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today announced that the Ministry of Public Works 1,684,721.37 euros allocated to three projects recovery of historical heritage in the town of Lorca, with the funds generated by 1% Cultural and public works contracts.
This item was approved by the Ministry of Development and Culture at the meeting of the Joint Committee on Cultural 1% held yesterday in Madrid.
Thus, the Ministry will provide 937,392 euros to the consolidation of the Palace of Guevara 622,488.64 euros in the first phase of the restoration of the wall, and 124,840.73 euros in the restoration of the Porch of San Antonio.
These amounts represent the total budget for the works because they be financed exceptionally at 100%.
The objective of these projects is the rehabilitation or stabilization of damaged structures in these monuments to the effects caused by the earthquakes that took place in Lorca on 11 May.
Consolidation of the Palacio de Guevara
