The Deputy Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, received this morning a delegation from the Municipal Alguazas Consistory has handed over the collection of an act of solidarity for the benefit of those affected by the earthquakes of Lorca.

The delegation was led by its mayor, José Antonio Fernandez, who has moved to City Hall together with the councilors Lorca Youth and Sports, Joaquín López, the mayor and Officer of Citizen Participation, María Dolores Ruiz.

The mayor has indicated that it is the funds raised at a gala ball held at the Town Hall, built within the "Cultural Night 2011" being conducted by the municipality.

The amount has risen to € 2,014.
