Municipal Communications Spokesperson of the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, reported that the city council has approved through the Board of a new series of repayable advances 31 to as many families who have lost Lorca housing because the earthquakes of May 11.
The victims will receive amounts ranging between 720 and 1,500 euros, according to the needs expressed by each citizen.
The package approved today will advance an amount of 41,000 euros that will be anticipated by the funds managed by the Bureau for Development and channels.
Jódar Ruiz has indicated that with these advances, the Mayor proposed by the Bureau for Development and approved unanimously, provides an initial assistance to those who have lost their homes and have no financial means to meet the payment of rent and, also do not have another home in which to reside.
The amount families are expected to correspond to the payment of the initial costs to access the lease of a dwelling, such as deposit or bond, the first monthly expenses and estate management.
Communication Spokesperson has stated that to date have benefited from these advances repayable on a total of 84 families Lorca, assuming a global economic amount estimated at 111,000 euros.
It is recalled that the amounts advanced shall be returned to the Solidarity Fund of the Bureau when these citizens get aid provided by governments.
Aid for families of those killed in the quake and aftermath wounded
Communication Spokesperson has stated that Local Government has approved a new set of financial aid for families of the deceased because of the earthquakes and the wounded with effects that add to the specialized care that have been carried out by the city council over these months.
Jódar Ruiz said that it is financial assistance for the families of those killed in the earthquake, and to praise unharmed injured in accidents arising from the earthquake totaling 39,369 euros.
It should be noted that, from the Department of Social Services is made available to these families, two social workers and a psychologist.
In the visits, these professionals have assessed the needs, identified the need for professional support from psychologists or the detection or measurement of specific problems which might present individually.
This motion addresses one of the proposals made by the Mayor of Lorca within the Bureau for Development, which was approved unanimously.
Jódar Ruiz has detailed the City Council have made individualized care to the wounded with sequels, as well as the families of those killed.
In this sense we have completed several steps, such as counseling, support for care of basic character with administrative paperwork and to obtain compensation and aid.
In total it has provided special service to 13 families with sequelae of injuries and 9 families of those killed.

Municipal Communications Spokesperson reported that all citizens can know that there is money in the accounts established solidarity by the City through the municipal website, www.lorca.es, Jódar Ruiz said that in this way all citizens can know the status of these accounts in updated form.
To date the account opened at Banco de Santander has EUR 1,652,551.34, and has established Cajamurcia 18898.18 euros.
This measure is put in place to ensure transparency in management and channeling of financial assistance that is being referred to city council and come from charities that are being completed in different parts of the national territory.
Ruiz Jódar anticipated that the City Council will extend the information provided by the municipal website on income are made to these accounts.
Due to the large amount of donations, is conducting a first screen with deliveries exceeding 6,000 euros.
