The Autonomous Community and the Sports Council will invest a total of 2.4 million euros in the restoration of sports facilities that were damaged by Lorca earthquake of May 11, according to the agreement reached yesterday after the Joint Commission meeting held yesterday in Lorca.
The works will be funded 50 percent by both parties and the execution time of the same shall be four years.
Specifically, the Community investment will go to the recovery work of the Sports Complex Europe which will be used by six more schools.

According to the Commission promptly let, it will create a working group composed of the Higher Sports Council, the Community and the City, which will produce a report on the status of these facilities, as well as schools that lack of them.
For this type of works councils contribute 20 percent of the amount, running the rest equal parts by the Higher Sports Council and the Autonomous Community.
In this case, and in response to the special situation of Lorca, the City would not have to make any contribution, corresponding to the total funding for the other two parties.
