The Minister of Universities, Companies and Research, José Ballesta, accompanied by the Minister for Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, today at Lorca 'Enterprising Person Day 2011', which brings together more than a thousand promises business in the region.
This sixth edition has a program of more than 40 activities, conferences, lectures, workshops, open space, free counseling and recreational activities with the aim of fostering an entrepreneurial culture among the Murcia and entrepreneurship.
José Ballesta explained that "Lorca becomes the venue for this annual event to remember and raise public awareness of the impact of the earthquake on May 11 have been productive in the municipality and to foster their entrepreneurial future with optimism."
Since starting to take shape this year, said the counselor, "it was clear that this was a different from the others, precisely because the bet made by the business sector in the region and the demand registered participants."
With the cooperation and participation of more than 45 public and private agencies that make up the regional system of entrepreneurship, Campus Universitario de Lorca receives a score of talks, where failure management, corporate finance, opportunities to engage in Europe the benefits of innovation to ensure success by focusing the presentations of experts, entrepreneurs and businessmen.
Under the motto "time to take ', this event has become a pole of attraction for entrepreneurs and businessmen and students.
Thus, the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment assists in the development of several workshops on entrepreneurship which is expected to involve over 400 students in Secondary and Vocational Training.
The goal, Sotoca said, "is to motivate and sensitize students about the importance of entrepreneurship, and to see also the self-employment and entrepreneurship as a future career option."
In this issue there is also a seminar on the project 'Yes', a European initiative to enhance the entrepreneurial culture among young people in Europe, where the Ministry of Education is leading a working group charged with developing a guide to good enterprise practices.
The guide will collect, among others, "we are developing initiatives in the region, as the project 'European Young Enterprise', 'Entrepreneurship in my school' or 'FP Emprende' and will be published for all European Union countries" .
Sotoca stressed that the Region of Murcia is a pioneer in implementing educational plans and programs that encourage entrepreneurial spirit in the classroom.
"We believe it is one of the essential competencies that our students should acquire during their learning process, and that line will continue to work," he said.
In this sense, José Ballesta said the promotion of entrepreneurship "must begin in youth," and therefore "on the Day of the entrepreneur is a space dedicated to entrepreneurs called 'Junior Embark', in which young can learn about success stories and learn to discover their talents through workshops and recreational activities. Also, the event will feature an area of ​​information, in order to raise awareness of the increased availability of counseling, guidance on funding, implementation of business initiatives and accommodation, attended by experts from key agencies to support entrepreneurs, such as info, universities, companies, associations or financial institutions.
Planning to undertake in the Region of Murcia
The 'Day of the entrepreneur' is part of the plan to undertake in the Region of Murcia, coordinated by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research through the Institute of Development, in collaboration with 45 agencies that are part of the plan, among which are chambers of commerce, business organizations and various financial institutions, among others.
This plan of the regional government has been awarded by the Committee of the Regions of the European Union with the award 'European Region Entrepreneur 2011', which means, in the words of director José Ballesta, "an important European support policies on of entrepreneurship and small business support is being designed and implemented in the Region, and make it into a reference and source of good European practices.
