The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, announced this morning that the College of Engineers of Public Works will start next week as volunteers works under the framework of Pillar Barnes Municipal Library, which was damaged in eight columns and a display on two floors with the May 11 earthquake.
The College of Public Works Technical Engineers will perform this action in solidarity with the funds raised through donations of their members for the technical development of a performance agreement with the city of Lorca, whose object is the inspection of structure, design and execution reinforcements that it accurately as a result of damage caused by earthquakes.
The information obtained to date has revealed that the investment required for the action amounts to 24,000 euros and the estimated duration is one month.
The work will be implemented through CEIC company, which has renounced the margins.
Once this action may proceed to the arrangements of masonry and finishing facilities, which will be another project for which the City is already managing to obtain funding for such works would amount to 350,000 euros.
