Communication Spokesperson of the City of Lorca, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, has been reported that the city council has approved this morning by the Local Government Board, a new package of aid for earthquake victims Lorca last 11 May.
Jódar Ruiz stated that it is a battery of 24 divided among 15 grants repayable advances, accounting for EUR 17073.39, and 9 support for basic needs.
The latter are aimed at families who have lost their housing because of the earthquake last May 11.
The Governing Board has approved today will allocate a total of 9,200 euros in this regard.
This amount includes a total of 9 grants to as many families, the amount ranges between 800 euros and 1,500 euros, a distribution based on the number of family members.
So far, the number of Lorca earthquake victims that has received aid for basic needs amount to 627, which means that the aid has gone to 1,861 Lorca.
Jódar Ruiz explained that the Board of Governors also approved a new set of character extensions refundable aid for access to a rented house.
In this sense we have approved 11 applications involving a final amount of 12,870 euros.
Communication Spokeswoman recalled that the City has made it easier for concerned citizens to access these grants, since it has been expanded from 1,300 to € 1,600 income threshold for access to aid, a concept for which is already benefiting victims .
Communication Spokesperson reminded all citizens that the November 25 the deadline for submission of applications for rental assistance and replacement of equipment which opened the region.
That is why we encourage all stakeholders to hurry in filing these documents at the point of care established for this purpose at the Cultural Center of the City.
Municipal aid, in detail
Communication Spokesperson has made balance of the aid approved to date by the City, based on criteria approved unanimously by the various meetings of the Bureau for Development.
In this regard it is noteworthy that even today the official figures are as follows:
Aid to basic needs:
627 approved applications.
1861 beneficiaries.
Total: 694,800 euros.
Grants for repayable advances for rent and extension thereof:
280 applications approved.
Total amount: € 361,966.79.
Attention to serious injuries and families who had died from earthquakes:
€ 45,140.62
Economic assistance to boost trade (for the Bureau of Trade):
€ 570,000
Since the city council recalled that all citizens who wish to have at their disposal the information and advice points to the victim that the City remains enabled in the Cultural Center of the City.
It should be remembered that these aids are paid by the fund that manages and organizes the Bureau for Development, based on proposals and decisions set out within it.
