The head of the list of United Left-Greens to Congress Murcia, Pedro Costa Morata, said today that the central and regional governments "have been unable" to take "decisive" for economic and social revival of Lorca.
For Costa Morata, after six months of the earthquake that devastated the city "the slowness and inefficiency are the common denominator of political action in connection with the resolution of the serious problems of earthquakes."
He stated that the commitments made by policy makers "have not been satisfactorily met," and that the actions of municipal government "has shown warmth, lack of discretion and limited management capacity."
In relation to the regional government, has stated that "beyond declarations of good intentions has only to throw balls out and sparsely is jointly responsible with the commitments made."
It has also indicated that there is still a "significant" number of displaced families outside of Lorca, even in the municipality "there are enough stories to have provided housing for victims."
"The lack of economic resources for the reconstruction of the city is a clear manifestation of the disastrous neoliberal economic policies imposed by fire and sword by the PSOE and enthusiastically seconded by the PP," he concluded.
