The Director General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage Ministry of Culture, Ángeles Albert, opened this morning in Lorca (Murcia) Museums and Earthquakes Days that end with the drafting of a document of recommendations for all Spanish museums located in the district seismic risk.
The inauguration was attended by the Director General of Cultural Assets of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Giménez, the Government Delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar.
These conferences have been organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Ibermuseos Program, in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development (AECI), the General Secretariat (SEGIB), the Region of Murcia and the city of Lorca.
Leading scholars and international experts will discuss and share strategies and action protocols museum heritage management to seismic risks, identify good practices developed by other countries and will discuss the prevention of seismic risk and the Spanish landscape.
