The Director General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage Ministry of Culture, Ángeles Albert, and the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, inaugurated this morning the Conference Museums and Earthquakes, which are involved 120 professionals, which will end with the development of a document of recommendations for all Spanish museums located in seismic risk zone.
These conferences have been organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Ibermuseos Program in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development, American General Secretariat, the Autonomous Region of Murcia and the city of Lorca.
Leading scholars and experts from different countries to discuss and share strategies and protocols on Friday action in museological heritage management to seismic risks, identify good practices developed by other countries and will discuss the prevention of seismic risk and the Spanish landscape.
Attendees at this conference visit the churches of Santiago and Santo Domingo, the Palace of Guevara and the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Lorca.
