The Housing and Land Institute (IVS), under the Ministry of Public Works and Planning has begun this week to repair a group of 22 public housing promotion located in the neighborhood of San Cristobal de Lorca, which were damaged by the earthquake last May 11.
The works, valued at more than 13,000 euros by the Insurance Compensation Consortium, consisting of the rehabilitation of minor cracks in walls and partial replacement of cornices and other outside elements.
The houses, owned by the IVS, were built in 1998, and last year were the subject of a grant amounting to € 200,000 for improvement works, under the Repair Plan.
