The AEB, CECA, Cajamar UNACC and sign agreements to promote actions to improve the financing conditions of individuals and businesses and to help repair the damage in the city's cultural heritage

The Minister of the Presidency in office, Ramon Jauregui, has signed this morning with the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), the Spanish Confederation of Savings Banks (CECA), the National Union of Credit Cooperatives (UNACC) and two separate Cajamar action protocols aimed at recovery of Lorca and the momentum of its economic activity, particularly in the areas of housing, retail and cultural heritage.
These protocols are to comply with the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of October 28, 2011, by adopting measures to those contained in the decrees of May 13 and 28 October, to repair the damage caused by the movements earthquake occurred on 11 May in Lorca.
The agreement states that will be the Ministry of the Presidency in charge of promoting the signing of agreements with the main associations of banks and financial institutions to promote their participation in the proceedings provided for in the Recovery Plan for Cultural Heritage of the municipality of Lorca and facilitate the development of economic and commercial activity of the municipality.
The Government Commissioner for the actions derived Lorca earthquake in the document is committed to providing information to these entities on aids and actions approved by the Government.
Meanwhile, banking and financial associations will disclose this information to their partners to facilitate industry participation in the repair of damage caused by the earthquake.
With the signing of these protocols, AEB, CECA, Cajamar UNACC and undertake to facilitate access to sufficient and flexible funding for implementation of aid and actions approved by the Government.
Each financial institution partners will conduct individual assessment of the funding, which is subject to the terms and conditions to be determined in each case.
Since the earthquake struck the town of Lorca, financial institutions present in the city and put several initiatives, such as the collection of donations, contributions from Public Works for emergency aid, as well as collaboration with other actions carried out by different government.
