Agriculture Councilman of the City of Lorca, Angel Mecca, has reported that the Association of Retired Nursing Graduates of Alicante has performed an act of recognition for farmworkers in the region of Lorca.
Sources of the entity indicated in this regard that this distinction is a tribute to Lorca farmers for their work and dedication, with special mention of his contribution and response to the needs of the municipality after the earthquake last May 11.
The event, held this past weekend at the Casa de la Musica in Rome, attended by the President of Agrotica, Vicente Ruiz, along with the village headman of Terce, Manuel Molina, who collected the award from the President of the Association, Bethlehem Estevan.
The event brought together members of the government team of the City of Alicante, as well as various representatives of the Valencian Parliament.
Agriculture Councilman thanked this distinction, underlining the effort made by professionals in the field of Lorca to continue fueling the city's socio-economic driving force, such as agriculture and livestock.
