Infrastructures director general of the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, José María Ramírez, said today that "there is no impediment to proceed with the repair of IES Ibáñez Martín will resume soon so they can be completed in the month of January. "

Ramirez said that during the process of rebuilding the center has detected new needs that were not initially foreseen, which has led to the temporary interruption of work, while performing administrative procedures necessary to meet these new needs.

"It's quite normal when a work is undertaken, although this is not a problem in their implementation and completion."

Infrastructures director general made the remarks in Lorca, where it traveled today to hold a briefing with the Federation of Parents and the management teams of the institutes affected by earthquakes.

Specifically, during the meeting were informed of the state in which projects are the rehabilitation of IES Ramón Arcas, Ros IES Giner and Ibáñez Martín.

As for the Ramón Arcas, the CEO explained that the intention of the Ministry is proceeding to demolish the central part to be demolished during the Christmas holidays, in order to interfere as little as possible in the development of classes.

Also, the Ministry is currently preparing the project of reconstruction of Giner Ros IES, which will be a priority for next year on infrastructure.

Ramirez recalled that this center was necessary to demolish a substantial part of it, although they are using 12 classrooms in classrooms with students of Bachelor.

Secondary students currently are displaced in the new facilities at IES Lorca No 6.
