Youth Councillor of the City of Lorca, Augustine called, has reported that the International Mobility Office of the City of Lorca, managed by Cazalla Intercultural Association, has presented its local and international projects of European Voluntary Service for 2012 .
Llamas pointed out that it is an activity funded by the program "Youth in Action", following the recent approval of a project framed in the action 3.2 (Youth in the World) under the name "Silk Road to EVS".
Councilman Young explained that the main objective of this project is to encourage youth participation in the European Voluntary Service with a Euro-Asian dimension that serves as an entry point to global challenges such as climate change, reduced combating poverty and marginalization.
In addition, the project's partner organizations from countries such as Vietnam, Philippines, India, China, Lithuania, Greece, Poland and Spain, will share best practices and create a Euro-Asian network by which young volunteers in Europe and Asia will participate projects in these countries.
In this way the young Lorca will be offered, from 2012, the opportunity to volunteer as well as in any country in Europe also in Vietnam, India, Philippines and China.
The project is divided into 6 phases.
These are:
Seminar creation of the Euro-Asian Network held in Hanoi, Vietnam from 3 to January 10, 2012, which will form the basis of collaboration between the different partner organizations.
Stays of 3 weeks of youth workers in the various partner organizations to meet volunteer projects that are carried out.
Training course on volunteer management and Global Education, held in Lorca 23 to July 31.
Local events to promote volunteerism in each of the member cities.

Llamas Augustine noted, moreover, that the project aims to get its completion, the training of 16 youth workers, trainers and managers 40 volunteers, and the participation of 400 young volunteers at the local project partner countries of Asia and Europe.
During 2011 the International Mobility Office of the City of Lorca, managed by Cazalla-Intercultural has sent volunteer projects for long or short duration to 28 young Lorca countries as diverse as Armenia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Poland, Belgium, Argentina.
Youth Councillor anticipated, in this sense that, the next March 8 young Lorca participate in a project in India.
Is the first time moving to Asia youth of our town included in these projects.
It should be recalled that Lorca has received during the year ending volunteers from Macedonia, Poland, Holland, Russia, France and Estonia, supporting local activities organized Intercultural Cazalla.
We are talking about whether or tutoring English to immigrant children and other more specific collaborative projects like the Living Library, Radio Impacto, Bohemian Nights, Otesha Influence, Europe speaks, and so on.
These volunteer projects are funded by the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union.
