Communication Spokesperson of the City of Lorca, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, has been reported that the city council has approved this morning by the Local Government Board, a new package of aid for earthquake victims Lorca last 11 May.
Ruiz has said that it is a battery of 30 grants repayable advances spread over 2, 2 and 22 extensions of these revisions for expansion, involving a whole a total of 24,018 euros and 4 grants for basic needs.
The latter are aimed at families who have lost their housing because of the earthquake last May 11.
In today's Governing Board has approved to allocate a total of 4,600 euros in this regard.
This amount provides support to 4 families, whose numbers range from 800 to 1,500 euros, a distribution based on the number of members of the same.
So far, the number of families affected by earthquakes Lorca which has received aid for basic needs amount to 679, which means that the aid has reached 2025 Lorca.
Communication Spokeswoman recalled that the City has made it easier for concerned citizens to access these grants, since it has been expanded from 1,300 to € 1,600 income threshold to access aid.

Communication Spokesperson has made balance of the aid approved to date by the City, based on criteria approved unanimously by the various meetings of the Bureau for Development.
In this regard it is noteworthy that even today the official figures are as follows:
Aid to basic needs:
679 approved applications.
2025 beneficiaries.
Total: 753,800 euros.
Grants for repayable advances for rent and extension thereof:
357 applications approved.
Total amount: € 496,374.79.

- Financial assistance to boost trade (for the Bureau of Trade):
- 500,000 €
- Financial assistance for preparation of the new headquarters of the food market:
- 70,000 €
