The Governing Council has approved the decree regulating the grants for the repair, rehabilitation and reconstruction of local business establishments, industrial or services affected by the earthquakes occurred in Lorca on 11 May.
Through this action, funded equally between the Community and the Central Administration, traders, hoteliers and owners of industries or service companies affected by the earthquakes may obtain assistance for the repair of their facilities that will cover one hundred percent of its cost, to a maximum of 8,000 euros.
In order to facilitate the process and make aid more accessible to victims, the Act simplifies the documentation to be submitted by applicants.
The rule affects administrative cooperation with the city of Lorca to complete the necessary documentation for the management of aid.
The Decree provides that applications may be submitted at City Hall for a period of three months since its publication in the Official Gazette of the Region, which will occur in the coming days.
Payments shall be processed by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research.
The payment of grants will take place at the time of grant, and shall be considered as payment on account in case of repairs or reconstruction has not yet been made.
In this case, the beneficiary will have a maximum of 12 or 24 months for the works, as necessary to repair or rebuild the premises.
