Councilmember Employment and Local Development of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, has been reported that the city council will proceed with the hiring of more than 30 unemployed work Lorca in the works of recovery of different municipal care and service to the citizen .
Ibarra said that "the City Council are working from the first moment that the works that need to carry out in our town to recover from the tragic earthquake that took effect last 11 May, are carried out by unemployed Lorca. This kind is the only part we can leave earthquakes, and we must seize it. In this sense we are coordinating efforts with various government from the start. The chronology in this respect has been, so far, the following:
- May 20: the fruit of these efforts, we received support from the Autonomous Community, which was finalized just nine days after the disaster in the adoption and implementation of a Special Plan for Employment, for which we are committed to hiring Lorca stood at 200.
On the one hand, the regional government through the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, gave more than 2 million euros for the Local Public Employment Program, which allowed the hiring of 300 unemployed people in the municipality, and, another was for 1 million euros for the two workshops of employment (Phoenix Phoenix 1 and 2) which resulted in the hiring of unemployed plus 48 others.
- December 23: the City of Lorca was supported by the Governing Council of the CARM for the expansion of Special Employment Plan Lorca.
Since the city council requested the extension in view of the need for services provided by staff of that plan, especially the tasks related to processing aid cases and the execution of works in buildings under municipal care and service to citizens who had suffered damage as a result of damage from earthquakes.
The City, in this case, you will receive a total grant of 350,000 euros for the following tasks:
- Technical management, property valuation and administrative management of aid by the earthquake, will hire an architect and a law degree as well as 6 and 8 administrative assistants riggers, amounting global economic encryption € 216,096.61.
- Carrying out minor works on public buildings damaged by the earthquake: it will employ 14 unemployed (1 pawn mason 5 mason's first official, 2 first official painters, plasterers first 2 officers, 2 officers first on electricity and air conditioning, 1 officer and a locksmith plumber, assuming an economic amount of € 133,903.39.
Employment Councilmember stressed also that with this plan to recruit unemployed Lorca have begun the settlement of the damage and get to about 78 local social, sporting facilities, municipal services, ... not only to rehabilitate but to improve them As the budget allows us to go getting.
This series of contracts will allow the unemployed to get a total of 400 unemployed Lorca.
It is recalled that, alongside the employment actions related to the earthquake that we are developing the City Council, generally during 2011 we have allocated a total of 7.4 million in training and employment, benefiting 13,624 Lorca.
