On Thursday 19 January, the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid will host an event on the recovery of the Church of Lorca, which will take place in the C / Alcalá, 31, at 20:30.
This event is organized by the city of Lorca, the Department of Tourism and the Diocese of Cartagena, in order to maintain the interest of society and the media in this city hard hit by the earthquakes on 11 May of the year past.

They have also been invited to this event restoration technical experts, public officials Heritage, interested companies or those that support the recovery of historic and artistic heritage.
In this framework, all attendees will present the work being done in Lorca, with reference to the church of Santiago.
The proposal is to present the project of recovery of the Church, so it is shown that in Lorca are to apply the best recovery methods typology (understood this restoration as a Church, not as a museum or similar) and property, in this case promoted and funded by the Catholic Church.
It has also prepared a model of the Church rebuilt and a power point presentation, which details the actions in all the churches of Lorca, more detailed in the case of the temple of Santiago.
Similarly, also reports on the possible organization of guided tours during construction of the latter, with the familiar slogan "Lorca, open for restoration."
