The City Council Public Safety and local police of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez, reported that within the operational and preventive actions are carried out by the Local Police, members of the Security Management Unit (USAD) and Unit Local Prevention and Operational Response (UPROL) on Thursday arrested a person for an alleged crime against intellectual property, seizing counterfeit textiles.

The incident occurred around 11.00 am on Thursday, March 1 this year in one of the Weekly Market stalls Lorca, when agents learned that someone was selling to the public for textiles suspected counterfeit international brand, imitated and of illicit origin, whose retail value is estimated at about 10,405 Euros.

Given these facts the officers proceeded to identify the perpetrator and seize the fabric of illicit origin, speaking a total of 260 articles with images of the brands ADIDAS, BURBERRY, PUMA and Kalvin Klein, which were deposited for custody of the Department of Consumer and Markets of the City of Lorca.

The offender and the clothes were made available audited the Police Court to instruct the hearings.
