The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, has been reported that as every two years, Lorca returns to celebrate International Youth Symposium Medievalists, now in its sixth edition.
With a tradition of a decade, the city and is a reference to the medieval inexcusable not only Hispanic but international.
This time, the international organization has been expanded from the previous edition (which already had the cooperation of the National Autonomous University of Mexico) with the participation of the Centre for Studies and Research of Ancient and Medieval Cultures ( CEICAM) and the Department of Humanities at the Universidad Nacional del Sur and the Group for Research and Medieval Studies (GIEM), all very prestigious universities of Argentina.
Overall turnout was of 85 jobs, of those who passed the first cut 50.
And those selected have been 16.
There was a three-way tie, so the decision was made, as has been done in some earlier occasion, to include a researcher more than the 15 initially planned.

The event is sponsored by the City Council and is organized by the Spanish Society for Medieval Studies and the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Murcia.
It also has collaboration with Cajamurcia Foundation, universities in Mexico, Murcia and Alicante Lerida, Lorca, studio time, the Cultural Fund "Spin Rael" (CAM), Hotel Jardines de Lorca and Lorca Inn.
