The Aldermen of Employment and Social Services City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra and Maria del Carmen Ruiz, this morning visited the rehabilitation works being carried to term at the headquarters of the Department of Social Services, located next to the station Sutullena Lorca train.
This infrastructure suffered severe damage as a result of the earthquake on May 11, so that, to date, has not been possible to recover the activity of care and service to citizens.
In the facilities are fixing will be established municipal services related to citizen services, in particular the line of Social Work Unit of the City available.
In total municipal work in these 10 professionals.
As for the performance of tasks at this location, it is noteworthy that started last July 14 and are expected to be completed next March 23.
The facilities are developed in the works include ground floor reception, three offices, two toilets and store room, first floor is an open room with nine posts, two toilets and storage.
The approximate total area of ​​the building is: 325.50 m2.
The repair work consists of:
Structural reinforcement for supporting walls.
Repair cracks and fissures.
Placement of divisions with plasterboard.

Renovation and modernization of electrical installation regulations.

Placement of air conditioning systems.
Painting around the premises.
38 workers directly hired by the City Council
In detail, the placement of air conditioning systems have been made to the plumbing and air conditioning program of the Workshop School "Athena" with a monitor and 5 assistants.
The painting works have been done with the painting module Employment Workshop "Phoenix I", with a monitor and 8 workers.
The investment amounts to € 210,463.05.
Conditioning work has been made under the program of the Special Plan for Employment for Lorca, participating the following offices:
Masonry: 6 people.
Locksmith: 2 people.
Electricians: 2 people.
Climate control is 2.
Plumbing: 1 person.
Plasterer 2 people.
Carpenter is 3.
Surveyors: 1 people
With the recovery of these facilities is advanced in the modernization and optimization of resources available to the Department of Social Services.
