The City Council Mayor, Mari Carmen Ruiz, explained that along also identify a program for caregivers.

Councilwoman Policy Staff of the City of Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, reported this morning that the Consistory Lorca held from 21 to 23 March, together with the Social Work of the Fund Mediterranean CAM Week Promotion of Autonomy Elderly.
Within this program there will be three lectures and workshop lasts approximately two hours in which different subjects are treated as maintenance of memory, Better Sleep and Improve Self-Esteem.
The mayor stressed that it is an interesting range of initiatives allowing more to revise their state of health of both the physical and the psychological, and know, thanks to advice from different professionals, and life patterns training, day by day, help to preserve autonomy.
Ruiz explained that parallel will develop a program aimed at elderly caregivers who are caring for others more generally in situations of dependency (dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ...).
The caregiver program will operate in six hours, structured in two sessions of three hours each which will be held on Wednesday 21 March and Thursday 22 March 16:30 to 19:30 hours at the Development Center Local Alameda de Cervantes located at No 30.
These programs will be taught by professionals specialized in Social Gerontology.
People attending the course will receive appropriate material to the content of the course to be offered by the CAM.
Interested persons must register with Department of Social Policy located in C Major / Master Isaac Alexander the castle s / n, a former Kindergarten College of Alfonso X, before 20 March.
